This is my transition to the conference that I attended this week. I was reading a book by Bill McKibben while here and heard several mentions of a city in Brazil, Curitiba. The links may be a foreshadow of what is to come.

I followed your link to Curitiba. What an amazing place! I am glad there is someone like you thinking about these things and helping us shape a better future for upcoming generations.
I'm not sure if you knew, but the artist who drew the sheep cartoon, Brian Duffy from the Des Moines Register, is a ultra distance bicycle rider.
I've heard of Curitiba. Interesting concept. Check out Bogota as well-the major streets are car free on Sundays and thousands of bikes descend on the city.
